The staff was brisk, tidy and nice. The seats were cleaned in an exemplary manner and the armchairs were very comfortable. We both found the selection of drinks great! My husband and I also think the prices are perfectly okay.

Without giving a name. But the boss condition wasn't even sufficient. Rather, this behavior should be improved as soon as possible. Would also like more Moselle wines.

Very nice selection of food and wines, a bit unusual, so that a meal becomes a bit of an experience. Friendly staff. Parking is not that easy and should be planned in advance. Somewhat higher in price.

Nice modern, rustic wine bar with fine international cuisine. The food was good, but every now and then something was simply missing. The service is very friendly and nice. Wine selection and menu are very good.

The wine selection was fantastic, the food and the snacks to go with it were really delicious and the explanations were super exciting. Very good as a wine bar. There are better restaurants in this price-performance segment.

Nice restaurant in Mainz not too far from the main station in Mainz, where you can also sit outside. If you have a big appetite, I recommend the menu selection regarding the quantity. 😉

Everything was great, just a little larger portion of food would be very good!

The Laurenz is a lovingly run restaurant in Mainz Neustadt. The modern menu changes seasonally and doesn't disappoint: a colorful mix of rustic home-style cooking with a lot of finesse (for example sausages from the local butcher) and haute cuisine (for example ceviche with caviar and brewed at the table). The wine list is put together with a lot of love and is changed from time to time. We always recommend the LAURENZ wines that come from the region. The staff is friendly and can make really helpful recommendations across the board. A little expensive, worth every penny and my absolute favorite restaurant in Mainz for special occasions.

The menu reads superbly, one assumes that something special is being served ... that's also true, the food is really delicious ... you just don't have to be very hungry or have a big wallet with you ... the portions are just outrageous .... I think after three courses we wouldn't have been full either ... what a shame ... I am not surprised that most of the guests only drank wine ..

Been there again after a very long time! Super delicious wine with extremely tasty food. I won't wait that long again ... ;-)

Small but fine restaurant with excellent food. The selection is manageable, but also sufficient. The wines varied and also excellent. The service was extremely friendly and very well advised. The selected variation of the country pig tasted fantastic, although maybe some vegetables would have been good for the presentation. The dessert 'Baba au Rhum' was outstanding; definitely try. All in all a very recommendable place!

If you want to eat nice in Mainz must remember this address. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Card sufficiently extensive and everyone finds something. Food refined and tasty. Hardly parking at the restaurant.

The place was not busy when I got there and still they took more than 10min to take my order. Half an hour to bring me the first dish, cheese btw. Then took almost an hour to being the second, I was there for 2.5 hours. Food was ok, and portions are small for the price. The staff is nice, but they ignored me big time when i tried to ask for the check. The wine was great.

Great food and even better wine! The menu changes frequently and it always has a variety of options. The only downside is that this is a very small restaurant and it tends to fill quickly-so make reservations or show up early. The wait staff is very nice and there is a wine shop around the corner if you want to take some home with you.

A wonderful restaurant where you can get great regional food in addition to a very fine wine selection. Changing dishes always make Laurenz exciting. The staff is great and the drinks come in no time. The food is not long in coming either. A very, very nice atmosphere with a lot of nice people. Always happy and always convincing again. A real asset to the Neustadt in Mainz. Keep it up!!!

Excellent selection of wines and small but tasty menu.

Fantastic meal in a “quaint wine boutique” restaurant! Loved the atmosphere and vibe of the guests.

Minus: we were flat out refused a table just to be fetched from the street a couple of minutes later (nobody left in the meantime but suddenly there were tables). Being a trendy restaurant does not make it okay to charge 16€ for a ridiculously small amount of ravioli (it’s just pasta!) or 7€ for half a bowl of soup. Plus: The creme brûlée with pear sorbet was delicious. The waiters were very nice and caring (which is a miracle to find in Germany).

Great location, large wine selection, very friendly and courteous service. Super delicious food, portions are a bit small but of high quality. Table reservations at the weekend absolutely necessary. Would love to come back. It was a super nice evening.

Top wines and selected food in a nice atmosphere. Centrally located and easily accessible from the main station. The staff is friendly, fast and know all about the really extensive wine selection! Changing dishes at a high level, justify the not quite cheap price. All in all a culinary delight :)

A superb choice for delicious food and the best local wine selection in the region. You absolutely must go here and experience it. Fantastic staff who are knowledgeable about the wines and never lead you astray. Fun and young crowd of cool people.

The food in this place is totally amazing. The menu is not that big, which is great because you do not get lost in it, and all the food is prepared with extreme delicacy. The wine selection is very good, and the service very friendly as well.

Incredible wine bar with a great selection of wine. Food was good too, with the highlight being the dry-aged beef dish. They have many wines by the glass and you can also buy bottles for take-home at normal prices (without restaurant markup). Watched the Germany vs France game on their outdoor patio area, which was awesome! If you're in Mainz, definitely stop here for drinks + food or just drinks!
